Taiz, Supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Project for Operating Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate, Yemen, has provided its diverse medical services to 374 beneficiaries who had lost their limbs among the Yemeni people in September 2023.
During the project, a total of 1,371 services were provided, with 69% of beneficiaries being male and 31% female. Among the beneficiaries, 15% were displaced while 85% were residents. Additionally, 139 patients received manufactured and installed prosthetic limbs, including limb delivery, measurement, and maintenance.
The project also offered physical therapy services, including physical therapy sessions and specialized consultations, benefiting 235 patients.
This medical aid is part of the ongoing humanitarian projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the center, aimed at improving the capabilities of the health sector and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
