Amman, A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, but they remain around annual average, bringing fair conditions in mountainous areas and hot in other parts of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on its daily brief.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 32 degrees Celsius and 29 in the southern governorates, dropping down at night to 20, 21 and 18 respectively. Hotter conditions are excepted in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 29 degrees at night, the JMD added.
Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail over the next two days, with northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times and stirring dust in the desert, the JMD added.
