Miami, – Johanna Konta won today the biggest title of her career, beating Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki 6-4, 6-3 to win the Miami Masters.

The Briton will return to the WTA top 10 on seventh after dropping out in February. Back in June 2015, the Aussie-born was ranked no. 146 in the world. She will pocket home 940,000 Pound Sterling in prize money for winning her third WTA Tour out of four titles.

Konta’s most recent title came three months ago in Sydney. She did so without dropping a set. Meanwhile Wozniacki’s last title was in Hong Kong back in October 2016. The Dane is still looking for her first Miami Masters title. She has lost two other finals already this year.

The two players met only once before, with Konta winning that match in straight sets. (QNA)
