The assassination of a Baathist leader in the Syrian countryside of Daraa

A member of the leadership of a branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in the countryside of Daraa, southern Syria, was killed by gunmen while he was on his way to work in the city of Nawa.

“SANA” quoted the Secretary of the Daraa branch of the Ba’ath Party, Hussein al-Rifai, as saying, “Terrorists targeted Abd al-Ilah al-Fadhil today, while he was on his way to work, with several bullets, which led to his death instantly. His body was transferred to Nawa National Hospital until he was buried.”

Yesterday, gunmen attempted to assassinate the Director of the Saasa district in the Damascus countryside by detonating an explosive device planted in his car in the village of Hina in the Qatana area.
