The body of a seven-year-old child recovered from the Euphrates River, north of Hilla

The River Police affiliated to the Babylon Police Command recovered today, Sunday, the body of a seven-year-old child from the Euphrates River passing through Al-Mahaweel district, north of Hilla.

Director of Babylon Police Media, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, said, “The River Police of the Babylon Police Command recovered today, Sunday, the body of the drowned child, Zaid Walaa Hamza Marza Al-Alwani, born in 2016, from the Euphrates River passing through the village of Albu Alwan in Al-Mahaweel district, north of Hilla.

He added that the police transferred the body to the forensic medicine office, and that an investigation was opened into the accident to find out the causes of death.”
