The Civil Defense teams put out a fire that broke out in a warehouse in the Shorja market area in central Baghdad.
A statement by the Civil Defense Directorate stated: “The firefighting teams have taken complete control over a fire that broke out inside a food store in the Shorja commercial market area behind Al-Dhaman building in central Baghdad, led by the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Kadhem Alak.”
He added: “The civil defense teams mobilized, surrounded the fire, and isolated the burning warehouse from the neighboring warehouses, after which they succeeded in entering the middle of the warehouse and controlling the fire without recording human casualties.”
