The ISIS Governor of Diyala state killed in the Hamrin air strike

Baquba, Member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, MP Salah Zaini, revealed that the governor of Diyala state was killed by ISIS in the Hamrin air strike.

Zaini said in a post on ‘Facebook’ that ‘the air strike that targeted an ISIS hideout in the vicinity of the Tin Khawun area near the Nareen Bridge on the outskirts of the Qara Tappah district, northeast of Baqubah, within the Hamrin Basin in Diyala Governorate, overthrew the governor of Diyala, formerly known as Abu Duha and now known as Abu Laila.’ His name is Yassin Balasim Muhammad Ahmad al-Rubaie, a resident of northern Muqdadiya, in addition to the ISIS medical officer in Diyala Province, known as Dr. Hudhayfah.

F-16 aircraft launched strikes on selected targets in the Hamrin Basin this morning, based on accurate intelligence information.
