Doha, Qatar's national football team will take on Moldova in an international friendly on January 17 in Doha ahead of the 2018 World Cup double qualifiers against Iran and Uzbekistan.

The Maroon's coaching staff said the team will then face a yet to be named side in another friendly before taking on a local team on March 9 and 17 respectively.

Qatar face Iran in Doha on March 23 before traveling to Tashkent to take on Uzbekistan five days later in matchday seven of the qualifiers.

The Maroon are fourth in the group on 4 points from five matches. Iran are top on 11 points, followed by South Korea, Uzbekistan and Syria.

After the Iran and Uzbekistan games, Qatar will still have three matches; a home match against South Korea on June 13, an away game against Syria in Malaysia on August 11, before wrapping up the qualifiers in Doha against China on September 5.
