The Minister of Defense, Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi, held today, Tuesday, a meeting with the US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Security Policy Affairs, Khaled Al-Yaqoubi, and the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the visit of the Minister of Defense to the United States of America, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, they discussed the joint relations between the two countries, especially with regard to security cooperation between Iraq and America.
The Minister of Defense is on an official visit to the United States of America, at the head of a high-level delegation, which included the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, the Army Chief of Staff, the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, and a number of advisors and officers.
