The Minister of Foreign Affairs presides over the twelfth session of the Ministerial Council for Economy

The Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, chaired today, Sunday, the twelfth meeting of the Ministerial Council for Economy, in the presence of the Ministers of Trade, Agriculture, Industry, Labor and Social Affairs, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission and the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Legal Affairs.

The Council hosted the Governor of Baghdad and the Director of Contracts, Roads and Bridges in the province, and discussed many of the projects carried out by it, especially the sewage projects and entrances to Baghdad, and took a number of decisions that facilitate the completion of these projects.

The Council also hosted the chairman and members of the committee charged with setting the industrial strategy (2023-2050) for the development of the industrial sector and a number of officials in the Ministry of Industry. It listened to a detailed explanation of this strategy, which was prepared for the advancement of the industrial sector in both its governmental and private parts, and reviewed everything related to this subject from the technical, material and legislative aspects, and the Council directed that some amendments be made to it in order to be approved by the Council of Ministers./ End
