Barcelona, – Bernard Tomic broke a six-match losing streak on Tuesday with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 defeat of Dustin Brown sending the Australian into a second-round challenge against top seed Andy Murray at the Barcelona Open.
Tomic had not won a match since the Australian Open and has been down on his luck with his recent form; Murray took a wildcard into the clay ATP 500 event in the Catalan capital where he trained for two years as a teenager.
Highlight of the event will surely be the quest of Real Club Tennis member Rafael Nadal for a record 10th title on his home court; he clinched his 10th at the weekend in Monte Carlo and could also do the same at Roland Garros with a winning French Open effort.(QNA)
