Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the UAE has distributed more than 80,000 Iftar meals in Yemen's liberated governorates.
A representative of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, in Yemen said that 15,000 Iftar meals were distributed in Aden; 2,000 in Lahej; 2,000 in Dhala; 2,000 Taiz; 2,000 in Abyan; 35,000 in the Red Sea Coast; 15,000 in Shabwa; and 10,000 in Hadramaut.
The meals were provided to mosques, underprivileged families, as well as patients in hospitals.
"More Iftar meals will be distributed during the holy month," he added.
