Ukraine’s 3 governors relieved of duties at president’s initiative

A representative of the Ukrainian government in the country’s parliament announced on Wednesday that the governors of three regions were relieved of their duties.

In a post on Telegram, Taras Melnychuk, the Cabinet’s representative to the Verkhovna Rada, said the governors of the Luhansk, Odesa, and Khmelnytskyi regions were dismissed.

The governors were removed at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Melnychuk, the government approved Zelenskyy’s decision.
