United Nations: 60 thousand refugees fled from Sudan to Chad

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that the number of refugees fleeing from Sudan to Chad has increased to 60,000.

The data of the UNHCR’s online portal, which is dedicated to following up the data of the displaced from Sudan, showed that the total number of arrivals in Chad amounted to 60,000 refugees.

It indicated that the total number of people fleeing Sudan to neighboring countries, including Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia and the Central African Republic, amounted to more than 153,200 refugees.

Since last April 15, Sudan has been witnessing battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which have resulted in large numbers of victims and injuries, and difficult humanitarian conditions.
