Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show to create a crucial link between east and west jewellery markets

SHARJAH, The 50th edition of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show is set to kick off at Expo Centre Sharjah on 5th October, 2022, creating a pivotal link between the east and west’s jewellery markets.

 

Organised by the centre with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the show will bring together some of the world’s top gold and jewellery manufacturers and producers, as well as hundreds of regional and international brands and companies. The event is set to enhance their presence in one of the world’s largest consumer markets.

 

Expo Centre Sharjah revealed the list of exhibitors taking part in the event, with a 35 percent increase in the number of participants compared to the 49th edition.

 

The list includes a number of major local, regional and international companies from Bahrain, Bulgaria, China, Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Poland, Türkiye, the UAE, UK, and USA. This is in addition to India, which will be taking part with 61 companies, and Italy with 46 companies.

 

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, stressed that the gold and jewellery industry has developed into one of the most promising and high added-value industrial and commercial sectors with substantial export capacity, and has been playing a vital role in supporting the economic diversification policies of many countries. This demonstrates how important the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show is, particularly in fostering the growth and expansion of the gold trade and industry in the country and beyond.

 

For his part, Mohammad Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, affirmed that the accelerating momentum that the exhibition and conference industry has been experiencing in Sharjah reflects the emirate’s leading position on the international exhibition scale, and the growing trust in Sharjah as one of the vital commercial centers in the region and a gateway to regional markets. This was evident in the keen interest of major regional and international companies to attend the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, which has become one of MENA’s top gold and jewellery exhibitions.

 

The exhibition elevates all aspects of the jewellery and gold industry, including design, production, distribution, expensive metals, future trends, and others. It will also feature programs, workshops, innovative activities that will be held for the first time in the event’s history, along with a special exhibition for the most recent jewellery, precious gems, and watch designs, offering a brand-new shopping experience in the world of gold and jewellery.
