Hong Kong, - The world track cycling championships concluded today in Hong Kong, with World record holder Francois Pervis winning in the men's event.

Frenchman Pervis won the men's 1km time trial. The world record holder claimed his fourth rainbow jersey after winning the race in 1:00:714 minutes. His compatriot Quentin Lafargue came in second place, sharing the silver medal with the Czech Republic's Tomas Babek.

Meanwhile Britain's Elinor Barker won her first ever individual world title. She beat Sarah Hammer in the women's 25km points race. Kristen Wild Won the bronze medal. Meanwhile Germany's Kristina Vogel retained her world title in the women's Keirin event. Vogel edged past Columbia's Martha Bayona and Belgium's Nicky Degrendele. (QNA)
