Faraya noted that the formation of this team is also an operational opportunity for young people, in implementation of the directives of His Majesty the King and the Crown Prince on the necessity of communicating with young people and involving them in health awareness, adding that “we have now 3.5 million people who have received the vaccine” and that the government is continuing its efforts in this regard.

“The coronavirus is more than just a health crisis because it directly affects societies and economies at its core, the Jordanian government has done an amazing job providing vaccines to all residents, Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, Espen Lindbeck, said.

He expressed his hope that this initiative supported by Norway in cooperation with the UNDP and the Ministry of Interior will encourage more people to register for the vaccine and raise awareness about preventive measures, which is essential for society to recover and open up in a safe way.

Resident Representative of the UNDP, Sarah Olivella, stressed the importance of the initiative in increasing the demand for vaccinations and raising the level of awareness of their importance, in addition to the need to follow preventive measures and public safety.

Director of the UNDP Governance and Peace Team, Sally Al-Mahdi, commended this initiative and the efforts made by the concerned authorities to address the pandemic.
