3 ISIS Members Killed in Airstrike in Iraq

Three members of ISIS were killed by an airstrike at the Diyala operational site north-east of Iraq.

The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate said in a statement that based on accurate information from their detachments, F16 aircraft carried out an airstrike in Lake Hamrin, killing three ISIS operatives.

Moreover, a 61st Brigade force found a cache of materiel and explosives in Kirkuk, northern Iraq. A statement by the supporting forces stated that the cache contained 5 homemade missiles and explosive devices, which had been safely processed.

Iraqi forces continue to pursue ISIS members through conducting daily operations against suspected armed positions, particularly in the northern and western governorates.

On December 9, 2017, Iraq announced the expulsion of ISIS operatives and the imposition of complete control over all Iraqi territory.
