Detachments of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security arrested five people accused of trafficking in antiquities in Karbala.
A security source said: ‘The defendants were arrested through accurate intelligence information, and an antique book they were trying to sell was found in their possession.’
He added: ‘Legal measures have been taken against them and they have been referred to the judiciary.’
