AL-SADR CALLS FOR A MASS DEMONSTRATION AGAINST THE SWEDISH EMBASSY IN IRAQ

Today, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called for an angry mass demonstration against the Swedish embassy in Iraq, in the first Arab move against the burning of the Qur’an in Sweden, according to “Russia Today”. Al-Sadr said in a post on his official page on “Twitter”: “If freedom of expression is guaranteed globally and in Iraq, then the believers must express their opinion regarding the burning of the Qur’an in front of mosques and embassies through an angry mass demonstration against the Swedish embassy in Iraq, calling for the expulsion of the Swedish ambassador and the severing of relations with Sweden.”
