Algeria’s wildfire kills 34 people

Algeria’s forest fire has killed 34 and injured over 194 others so far, said the Interior Ministry on Monday. In a press statement, the ministry said the toll jumped today to 34 after 10 soldiers were killed and twenty-five others were wounded while trying to evacuate people in affected areas in in Beni K’sila city of Bejaia Province.

It pointed out that firefighter are racing against the time to extinguish forest fire in 11 provinces after succeeding in putting off fire in five other provinces.
