The Anti-Crime Directorate announced the arrest of a suspect after he stole 117 million dinars from an account company on Palestine Street in Baghdad.
The Directorate’s statement stated that the detachments of the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate were able to track down a wanted suspect and arrest him for stealing an amount of 117 million dinars from inside an account company on Palestine Street on Rusafa side of the capital, Baghdad, where the arrest took place after information was received by detachments of Bab Al-Sheikh Office for Combating Crime about the theft of the amount by an unknown person.
It added that when he was interrogated, he confessed to stealing the amount from within the company, and the statements of the accused were written down, and the investigating judge decided to detain him in accordance with the provisions of Article 446 of the Penal Code to receive his just punishment.
