The Ministry of Transport announced that the observatories of the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake, this evening, Saturday, in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
The ministry said: “The earthquake was recorded at exactly 04:04:50 this evening local time, and it had a magnitude of (3.7) degrees, and it is located (49) km southeast of Chamchamal.”
It explained that it was felt by some citizens, indicating that no losses were recorded.
It called on citizens to “take caution, avoid rumors and false news, and adhere to the seismic commandments issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.”
