An officer with the rank of colonel was killed by a gunshot wound following a dispute with his wife’s family in Al-Jawasim area in Al-Qasim district, yesterday evening, Thursday.
A source in the Babylon police said, “The dead officer was from Kufa, and he is the Director of the Maysan police station, and his death was due to a gunshot wound.”
He added that the police transferred the body to the forensic medicine office and arrested a number of those involved in the killing.
