Baghdad Operations Commander announces the imminent removal of concrete blocks in front of the Embassies

Baghdad, Baghdad Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Walid Al-Tamimi, announced today, Saturday, that all concrete blocks in front of the Embassies will soon be removed.

Al-Tamimi told the official News Agency, ‘Most of the concrete blocks have been raised by 70%, and the concrete blocks are still in important places such as the Embassies, as there is a wait until matters are organized with the Embassies in Baghdad.’

He explained that “the Embassies are linked to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and there is coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the effort that removes the concrete blocks,” pointing out that “the coming period will be during which the concrete blocks will be removed and the rented or owned property will be kept so that it does not affect the opening of roads or sidewalks.”

On the other hand, Al-Tamimi confirmed that ‘the rate of criminal crimes in the capital, Baghdad, is not high,’ noting that ‘there are immediate criminal crimes, and all those who carried out these cr
imes have been arrested.’

He pointed out that there is an expansion in the installation of surveillance cameras in all areas of the capital, Baghdad, for the purpose of controlling them, according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
