Branch of Land Transport Affairs Authority in Hajjah… advanced steps to develop level of performance

During the year 1444 AH, the branch of the General Authority for Land Transport Affairs Regulatory in Hajjah Governorate took advanced steps to raise the level of performance despite the challenges imposed by the aggression and siege.

The management of the Land Transport Affairs Authority branch was keen to carry out the tasks entrusted to it in strengthening field supervision, identifying direct control points and locations, and assigning specialists to go and monitor collection work and the level of discipline.

The management of the authority’s branch focused on working in accordance with plans and programs consistent with the matrix of the national vision for building the state in enhancing institutional construction and financial, administrative and supervisory performance, activating the functions of points and monitoring excess loads and imposing fines on them and determining truck parking and sorting in a number of areas in the governorate center.

A report issued by the authority’s branch, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), explained that the past year witnessed the creation of information boards and the launch of work on specific positions in coordination with the relevant authorities to facilitate oversight and improve the level of services for the citizen.

According to the report, a database and information was created for the means of urban transportation operating in the city of Hajjah, with the aim of activating the sorting lines and inventorying the buses operating in the governorate center.

The report stated that supervision of transportation activities and affairs has been strengthened, following up on the daily movement of trucks, collecting resources, collecting technical data on transportation means, and entering information about the movement of trucks and their loads into the automated system.

The report confirmed the authority’s branch’s keenness to enhance local and central revenues in return for the past years, develop methods of monitoring them, prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, and intensify follow-up on collection by points at the directorate level and current supply.

Director of the Transport Affairs Authority branch in the governorate, Saleh Al-Jadra, explained that the branch is currently working on activating the electronic system for passengers departing from the governorate to other governorates.

He pointed out that there are steps that will be implemented to enhance resources and coordination with relevant authorities to organize the work of internal transportation to reduce congestion in a way that is commensurate with the geographical nature of the governorate.

Al-Jadra touched on the existence of programs to develop the capabilities of the staff during the year 1445 and the organization of training and rehabilitation courses to raise the level of performance… praising the efforts of the branch’s employees and cadres in improving the level of performance of the Authority’s branch despite the difficult circumstances that the country is going through.

He stressed the keenness of the Authority branch to provide a means of transportation to cover the work needs and to coordinate with the relevant authorities to provide scales for trucks to maintain land lines and reduce accidents.

The director of the authority’s branch appreciated the role of the local councils in the directorates and the drivers’ union in organizing the work of drivers and cars operating on land lines for urban transport and seeking to provide external parking lots.

He reviewed the difficulties facing the work, including the lack of suitable locations for parking cars and trucks on external lines.

Al-Jadra reported that the cessation of the work of trucks in the Bani Qais valleys resulted from damage to the agricultural sector, noting the efforts of the leadership of the governorate and the local authority and their efforts to overcome obstacles according to the available capabilities and the role of the authority’s leadership in supporting and supporting the authority’s branch despite the circumstances of the aggression.
