ABU DHABI, Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), the society will host the 39th General Assembly meeting of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations (ECAHO) at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi tomorrow, in the presence of representatives of 32 countries.
The two-day assembly will include, among other functions, a number of meetings for the ECAHO’s executive, bid and sporting committees.
On the sidelines of the assembly, several functions will take place, including the Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship while participating delegations will tour the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre-Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and Expo 2020 Dubai.
The ECAHO manages the organisation of Arabian horse championships, sets the laws and standards for Arabian horse shows, approves the participation of show organisers, and establishes the criteria for horse categories and veterinary care.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the EAHS, welcomed the participants and wished them success in coming up with viable recommendations for developing equestrian championships.
Sheikh Zayed said the UAE’s hosting of the assembly comes in translation of the support provided by H.H. Sheikh Mansour for Arabian horse activities and his directives to promote collaboration with regional and global organisations.
