ENEMY RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT FLIES OVER SOUTHERN LEBANON’S WESTERN, CENTRAL SECTORSChina’s Gansu earthquake kills 105 people

An Israeli enemy reconnaissance aircraft on Tuesday was sighted flying over villages in the western and central sectors, nearing the outskirts of the southern Lebanese city of Tyre and above the course of the Litani River.

At dawn, the enemy targeted the vicinity of Aita al-Shaab and Naqoura with its machine gun fire. Furthermore, it released flare bombs consistently throughout the preceding night.

GANSU: The 6.2-magnitude earthquake that jolted a county in northwest China’s Gansu Province at midnight Monday has killed 105 people in the province, state news agency (Xinhua) reported.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Centre, the quake jolted at 11:59 pm Monday and has a focal depth of 10 km. The epicentre Liugou Township is about 8 km from the county seat of Jishishan Bao’an, Dongxiang, Salar Autonomous County in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu.

The earthquake has also left 199 injured and damaged 6,381 houses in Jishishan. As of 8 am, 32 aftershocks were recorded, with the largest registering a magnitude of 4.0, said Han Shujun, a spokesperson for the provincial emergency management department.

The quake destroyed some rural roads, leading to power outages and telecommunication failures. Currently, the overall road traffic, power supply and communications disrupted by the quake have been resumed after emergency repairs, he said.

Following the earthquake, the National Health Commissi
on dispatched a team of medical experts to the affected region. Additionally, it has mobilised emergency medical teams.
