Gov’t reviews its main pillars of priorities with trade sector

The government on Tuesday continued its meetings with private sector representatives to set the government’s priorities for the next two years.

The meetings also aim to identify the key policies and required reforms, in addition to the requirements of the priority economic sectors.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Shraideh, during a meeting with the head and members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), reviewed the main pillars of the government’s priorities.

He pointed out that the difficult stage and the exceptional circumstance that the country is going through requires everyone to cooperate to enable the national economy to recover, achieve growth, increase employment, and support the most hard-hit sectors by the COVID-19.

Head of the JCC Nael Kabariti reviewed a set of key local economic issues, namely, public debt, inflation, investment, and the role of legislation and applications for economic development, unemployment, and sustainable development.
