Human Resources Minister Praises Non-Profit Sector’s Contribution in Achieving Saudi Vision 2030

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, praised the contributions of the Non-Profit Sector in achieving Saudi Vision 2030, by executing many outstanding projects that contributed to achieving national development, sustainable impacts, and strong partnerships with community institutions and individuals. Al-Rajhi said that one of the most notable achievements has been the development of the incorporation procedures of non-profit organizations for a duration not exceeding 4 days, compared to one year and a half previously.

Currently, the total Outsourcing Government Services Contracts reached more than 2,600,000,000 billion Saudi Riyals, which is reflected positively on the development of Non-Profit Organizations’ business process mechanisms, quality and efficiency. He referred also to the establishment and activation of more than 20 councils for Grassroots organizations and Societies, as the total percentage of development spending in non-profit sector reached 71%. Eng. Al-Rajhi added that a report was launched to measure the financial performance of non-profit organizations and a fund to support associations, in addition to 6 investment funds in cooperation with General Authority for Endowments and Council of NGOs, Affirming that these launches have contributed to increasing the size of development projects and their capacity for beneficiaries, and that beneficiaries are served through the electronic services system to increase the flexibility and ease of procedures. His Excellency referred to the training of 3,109 participants in the non-profit sector workforce rehabilitation initiative, explaining that the number of non-profit sector organizations had reached 4,134; This is to support socio-economic development and improve quality of life to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.
