Riyadh, President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid of the Republic of Iraq emphasized that the convening of the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit took place during challenging times, with the Israeli occupation’s army perpetrating crimes incessantly. These actions are seen as a desperate attempt to undermine the Palestinian cause and deny the Palestinian people their fundamental rights and aspirations.
Delivering a speech at the summit in Riyadh, the president renewed Iraq’s unwavering position which calls for realizing the Palestinians’ right to an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He also reiterated Iraq’s rejection of the Israeli revenge and collective punishment of the Palestinian people.
