An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck on Thursday Batangas province in the Philippines.
The epicenter of the quake occurred 64 km from the Municipality of Calatagan, at a depth of 119 km, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material losses due to the earthquake.
The Philippines is witnessing increased volcanic and seismic activity due to its location on the “Ring of Fire” in the Pacific Ocean, where tectonic plates intersect.
