MoF organises the Annual Suppliers Forum 2021

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance communication with customers; and to introduce the latest electronic and smart services, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently organised the 2021 Annual Suppliers Forum. Mariam Al Shamsi, Director, Finance & Administration Affairs at Ministry of Finance; and a number of MoF’s departments’ directors attended the forum, which was held virtually.The forum aims to discuss developments in procedures regarding procurement and payments in the ministry and the requirements of the final accounts for the fiscal year 2021; as well as the most important developments related to the new procurement system (the government procurement platform). The forum also seeks to deliberate means of strengthening frameworks of communication with customers, answering their inquiries and achieving their highest levels of satisfaction.During the forum, the winning company of the 2021’s supplier evaluation was announced. This procedure is adopted in the federal government, where the departments that used a supplier’s services can evaluate them upon project completion. The evaluation is based on specific criteria, including the extent to which the service matched the predetermined specifications; the level of service; adherence to the pre-set schedule for service delivery; the extent of cooperation and response to requirements; the availability of technical support; the experience of the team and more.At the end of the forum, the participating suppliers had the chance to raise their questions and concerns, and they presented a set of valuable proposals to enhance their user experience and meet their requirements.
