ABU DHABI: A delegation led by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the General Police HQs, was briefed on the operational progress of the Etihad Rail.
The delegation explored its positive effects and vital role in enhancing the integrated and sustainable transport structure across various regions of the UAE.
The delegation, warmly received by Ahmed Al-Yafei, CEO of Etihad Rail Infrastructure Company, and other senior officials, embarked on a tour aboard the prototype passenger train. They gained insights into the operational aspects of freight trains, visited the main Al Faya Center for Operation and Maintenance, and traveled to the Al Qudra area in Dubai.
During the tour, they received an in-depth explanation about the objectives of this strategic national project. This initiative marks a significant leap in transportation and logistical shipping, aligning with the national strategy to divers
ify economic resources. It reflects the vision of the wise leadership to position the UAE at the forefront of global leadership and achieve the goals outlined in the UAE Centennial 2071.
