OIC And UN Stress Importance of Resuming Dialogue, Ceasefire in Sudan

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations stressed on the importance of resuming dialogue and negotiation in perpetuating the truce for ceasefire between conflict parties in Sudan.

This came in the phone call between OIC’s Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha and Head of the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan Volker Perthes during which they discussed the current situations developments in Sudan.

Previously, OIC has underlined its readiness to harness all potential to support the humanitarian efforts and resume dialogue between the Sudanese parties, calling on all to cease military escalation and resort to dialogue to solve all contentious issues.
