Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said on Sunday the visit of the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, to Iran, on Sunday supporting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
Al-Busaidi wrote in a tweet on Twitter as saying “The historic visit of the Sultan of Oman to Iran today reflects the importance that the leaderships of the two countries attach to deepening beneficial bilateral cooperation and the joint keenness to consult at the summit level regarding many regional and international concerns, in support of the causes of peace, stability and prosperity.”
Last week, the Omani News Agency reported that the visit of the Sultan of Oman to Iran aims to continue coordination and consultation between the leaderships of the two countries, with regard to many regional and international issues of common concern.
The visit also aims to enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries at the present time and in the future, according to the Omani statement.
