On Behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Sport Minister to Attend Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 on Saturday

On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz on Saturday is scheduled to attend the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.

The Kingdom’s delegation participating in the Berlin 2023 version is the largest sports delegation in the history of Saudi participation in Special Olympics, with Saudi athletes participating in 15 different sports, including 85 athletes in handball, basketball, judo, bowling, football, equestrians, badminton, volleyball, bocce, athletics, beach volleyball, bikes, weight lifting, ping pong, and swimming.

On this occasion, Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for his generous support for the sport sector, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his continued support and keenness to empower the sports sector, which contributed to achieving qualitative and distinguished leaps in the Saudi sports.

The minister wished success to Saudi athletes participating in this tournament by presenting distinctive levels and achieving outstanding results at this major global sports event.

Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 sees the participation of over 7,000 athletes, representing 170 countries.
