Makkah, More than 2 million people benefited in April this year from the Ekram Association for Food Preservation in Makkah services, which came at a total value of SAR9 million.
The association offers a wide range of community services, including distributing surplus food and organizing iftar and charity projects.
The number of beneficiaries increased in April, reaching 2,116,439 individuals, mainly due to Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, a time during which support from the association is in high demand among needy groups in Makkah.
Surplus food weighing 778,650 kilograms and valued at SAR3,425,148 benefitted 786,761 people in the said period.
