President Al-Mashat meets Education Minister

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today at the Presidential House in the capital, Sana’a, with the Minister of Education, Yahya Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi.

During the meeting, they discussed the necessary preparations and arrangements for the launch of the new academic year 1445 AH, ways to make good preparations for the start of the educational process, the success of school activities and the new academic year.

In the meeting, the President expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Education and teachers for their jihadist role in educating generations during the nine years of the American-Saudi aggression, which among its most prominent goals was the destruction of education, ignorance of the generation, targeting schools and stopping teachers’ salaries.

He praised the role of society supporting the continuation of the educational process as a shared responsibility between the state and the citizen.

President Al-Mashat directed the local authorities in the Municipality and the provinces to stand by the education offices in the provinces and districts, and to encourage parents to push their children to join the educational process and motivate them to study.

He also directed the Ministry of Information to play its educational and media role in supporting the back-to-school campaign, in a way that contributes to raising awareness of the importance of education, pushing children to schools, and mobilizing efforts to make the academic year 1445 AH a success.

The President stressed the importance of training and qualifying administrators, school principals, male and female teachers, in a manner that guarantees the improvement of the educational process, educating generations, and keeping pace with modern technology.
