The Traffic Department has prepared a traffic plan in places where the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane intercept with other roads to prevent any disruption of the BRT route, and has taken strict legal measures against violating drivers and impounding their vehicles for a week in the driver’s detention yard, according to the Public Security Department (PSD) Spokesperson
The PSD spokesperson urged pedestrians to avoid blocking the BRT’s lanes and adhere to places designated for this in order to preserve their lives and safety.
He pointed out that there are traffic signs in various locations and the intersection of traffic with the BRT lanes to alert and warn drivers, calling on everyone to avoid disrupting traffic, which requires legal accountability.
