Rainfall, lightning & thunder expected on Monday-Wednesday: NCM

ABU DHABI: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said tonight that the UAE is affected by a surface low-pressure system extending from the Southwest, accompanied by a cold air mass from the West in the upper air with a flow of clouds.

On Monday and Tuesday, the amount of clouds is expected to increase gradually from afternoon and evening from the West, and extend to scattered areas of the country accompanied by some convective clouds associated with rainfall of different intensities, and heavy with lightning and thunder at times over some areas.

On Wednesday, the amount of clouds and rain is expected to decrease. However, the weather is expected to become partly cloudy to cloudy at times Southward with a decrease in temperatures.

Sea is expected to be moderate to rough especially with the convective clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
