The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that fighters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed four Ukrainian-made, American-made gunboats, which were carrying Ukrainian landing groups, west of the Crimea.
The ministry said in a statement: “Fighters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed four US Willard Sea Force fast gunboats with Ukrainian landing groups on board that were heading towards Crimea in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.”
Russian air defense systems intercepted two Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea near the Crimean peninsula and the Kursk region on Sunday evening.
