SDAIA Equips ‘Makkah Route’ Initiative Hall at Abidjan Airport with State-of-the-Art Technology to Serve Ivorian Pilgrims

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has completed the equipment of “Makkah Route” Initiative hall at Abidjan International Airport with the state-of-the-art technologies to facilitate travel procedures for Hajj pilgrims within the initiative that was launched Saturday in Côte d’Ivoire.

This comes within the framework of SDAIA’s participation to empower the initiative digitally.

The technical team of SADAIA worked through the National Information Center (NIC) to develop a set of particular technological systems that are compatible with the service requirements of the initiative.

This includes operating and supporting systems for the initiative, equipping it with mobile bags that can carry recording devices of biometric features, and providing backup systems to ensure business continuity.

The SDAIA team includes a group of engineers and technicians who work around the clock to connect, activate, and operate workstations equipped with state-of-the-art technologies which facilitate the completion of procedures for pilgrims in record time.

The Ministry of the Interior is implementing the initiative in seven countries during the Hajj season for the current year 1444 AH, namely: Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Morocco, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Côte d’Ivoire.

The initiative witnesses the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Health; Ministry of Hajj and Umrah; General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority; SDAIA; Pilgrim Experience Program, and General Directorate of Passports.
