Shura Council Participates in Gulf Symposium in Qatar


Doha, Two members of the Shura Council, Dr. Asim bin Mohammed Madkhali and Dr. Mohammed bin Saad Al Zoma, recently participated in the Gulf symposium titled ‘Cultural Diversity and the Challenges of Change: The Role of Legislative Councils in Preserving Gulf Identity.’

The symposium was hosted by the Shura Council of Qatar in collaboration with the GCC, as decided by the heads of the Shura, Representatives, and National Councils in the GCC countries during their 17th periodic meeting.

At the symposium, Dr. Assem Madkhali presented a working paper titled ‘The Role of the Gulf Legislative Councils in Promoting Aspects of Cultural Diversity while Preserving the Gulf Identity from the Challenges of Change: The Role of the Shura Council in Saudi Arabia as a Model.’
