Speaker of Shura Council Holds Official Talks with Jordan’s House of Representatives Speaker


Amman, The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, led a delegation to Jordan today in response to an official invitation from the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Ahmed Safadi.

During his official visit, the two speakers engaged in discussions to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and open up new horizons for cooperation. They also discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries and touched on many topics of common interest.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He highlighted the importance of translating the relations between the two sides into work that strengthens the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

He noted that the efforts of the two Houses through parliamentary friendship committees and mutual official visits would be crowned with desired results that serve the interests and a
chieve the aspirations of the two countries’ leaderships.

Safadi, in turn, welcomed Dr. Al Al-Sheikh and his delegation, expressing his country’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s positions in support of Jordan. He also praised the Kingdom’s positions regarding various regional and international issues.

The Speaker of Shura Council noted the continuous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for all efforts that support the solid relations between the two countries. He explained that the discussions with the Speaker of the House of Representatives come as an extension of previous meetings in which the two sides seek to work hard to achieve the aspirations of the two countries’ leadership.
