Sudanese Armed Forces Agree to 3-Day Truce on Occasion of Eid Al Fitr

The Sudanese Armed Forces agreed to a three-day truce starting Friday to enable citizens to celebrate Eid Al Fitr and the flow of humanitarian services.

The Sudanese Armed Forces said that it hopes the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) will abide by all the requirements of the truce and stop any military moves that would obstruct the cease-fire.

The World Health Organization announced that the number of casualties due to the armed clashes in Sudan between the army and the RSF had risen to 413 dead and 3,551 wounded.

The armistice agreements between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF did not hold due to the intensification of the battles and the exchange of accusations of breaching the truce and non-compliance with it.
