The Ministry of Economy organizes the “Our Youth Talents” initiative to support creative projects with the participation of the private sector

The initiative is a pioneering forum that brings together youth and the private sector with the aim of creating successful companies that consolidate the strength of the national economy

The initiative included a platform to present the creative ideas of young people to businessmen and investors, and the “Our Youth Talents” competition to select the best three emerging projects out of 20 projects.

As part of the UAE’s celebration of the World Youth Skills Day for 2022, the Ministry of Economy organized the “Our Youth Talents” event, which includes an exhibition to inform the private sector, including companies, investors and businessmen, about creative projects and ideas for young people in the country, and to enhance opportunities for cooperation and investment between them. The event included the announcement of The “Our Youth Talents” competition, where the three best emerging projects were selected out of 20 projects submitted to the competition. The event was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Shamma Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

In this regard, His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri said: “The UAE, with the vision of its wise leadership, has a firm belief in the capabilities and talents of young people as they are the real wealth for development and the future bet and the main source of innovation and development. The state has worked to support their empowerment with future skills within its national priorities and activate their role in various fields and harnessing all avenues to invest in building their capabilities in knowledge and motivate them and encourage them to assume responsibilities and innovate, and to contribute to building the future of the UAE.” His Excellency pointed out that the “Our Youth Talents” initiative represents a pioneering forum that aims to support innovative and emerging projects and ideas for young people, by presenting these projects to investors and enhancing opportunities to transform them into successful entrepreneurial companies that consolidate the strength of the national economy and support the UAE’s position as a leading global destination for entrepreneurship.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said: “The initiative comes within a series of programs and initiatives recently launched by the state, which will create young generations capable of innovation, creativity and leadership, refining their capabilities and providing them with expertise in all fields, and instilling a spirit of joint work and giving in them, in line with With the requirements of the business environment in the country, and in a way that enhances building promising young national competencies, investing in their energies and motivating their ideas to be future leaders, according to the determinants of the UAE Centennial 2071.”

The three emerging projects, “oxygenate”, “I hear you” and “hero academy”, won the “Our Youth Talents” competition, for which 20 projects were submitted, and the winning projects won financial prizes announced within the initiative.

The UAE participates in the celebration of the World Youth Skills Day 2022, which was launched by the United Nations and falls on July 15 of each year, with the aim of highlighting the strategic importance of providing young people with the skills necessary for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship. During this occasion, the state encourages young people to acquire new skills in Various fields as an essential means of achieving success, achievements and progress.
