The Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, confirmed that the attacks in the Red Sea are related to the war in Gaza… stressing the need to immediately stop the war in Gaza, and reduce the escalation in the Red Sea, which Saudi Arabia considers to be its own.

Bin Farhan said, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2024, held in the Swiss city of Davos, today, Tuesday: Saudi Arabia ‘does not see any sign from ‘Israel’ to stop the war and escalation.’

He added: “Our priority is to find a path to reduce the escalation, and this depends on stopping the war in Gaza,” noting that the ongoing war in Gaza “is dragging the entire region into great dangers.”

A few days ago, the Saudi Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement the Kingdom’s concern about the American and British raids on Yemen, and said: It is ‘following with concern the military operations taking place in the Red Sea region and the raids that targeted sites in Yemen.’ Noting that ‘the Kingdom stresses the importance
of Maintaining the security and stability of the Red Sea region.’

The Yemeni government in Sanaa has repeatedly affirmed that ‘the Red Sea is safe for everyone except ships associated with the Zionist enemy,’ and that it is keen on its security, and that ‘Yemen’s operations target only Zionist ships linked to the occupied ports.’
