Ukraine: An Int’l Meeting In Saudi Arabia Regarding A Proposed Peace Plan With Russia

Director of the Office of the Ukrainian President, Andrei Yermak, confirmed that a meeting will be held in Saudi Arabia soon for national security advisers from several countries regarding a proposed Ukrainian plan for peace with Russia.

Yermak said through his account on “X” (formerly Twitter), that Kiev is now working to involve the largest possible number of international partners in the planned meeting, noting that a similar meeting was held in Copenhagen last June.

Earlier, the advisor to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Yevhen Mitenko, confirmed Kiev’s openness to all peace initiatives, praising Saudi Arabia’s role in continuing to provide peace initiatives.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that Saudi Arabia will host talks related to Ukraine involving Kiev, Western countries and major developing countries, including India and Brazil, in early August.

The newspaper added, quoting diplomats participating in the discussions, that the meeting, scheduled to take place in the Saudi city of Jeddah on August 5 and 6, will include senior officials from about 30 countries.
