Young Palestinian Shot Dead by Occupation Forces Near Salfit

A young Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces gunfire on Thursday near the town of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that Ahmad Yaaqob Taha, a 39-year-old Palestinian, was shot dead by Israeli occupation soldiers near Salfit.

Videos of the incident circulating on social media showed an Israeli occupation soldier asking the young man to get out of his car at gunpoint. As soon as the young man got out of the vehicle, the soldier fired live shots at him, killing him on the spot.

In a related context, several Palestinians suffered from suffocation as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ suppression of a demonstration in the village of Ain Al Bayda in the northern Jordan Valley in protest against settlers violence.

Local resources indicated that the occupation forces suppressed the demonstration held by the residents at the entrance to the village on Highway 90 in protest against the repeated attacks by settlers in the area.

Several people suffocated from tear gas fired by the occupation soldiers at the residents, said local resources.
